DOTA 2'S NEW MAJOR AND MINOR TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE LOOKS AWESOME

The International 7 is upon us and that means big news not just for the players but for the game in general. Valve decided to revamp their Dota 2 season with the introduction of Major and Minor tournaments, all run by third party organisers with input and support from Valve.
We now have our first glimpse at the schedule thanks to Matthew "Cyborgmatt" Bailey sharing it on his twitter

Consider this schedule PLUS the qualifying events.

The entire timeline looks like we will never be short of some big money Dota 2. April to June looks like a particularly hectic period featuring four Major million dollar tournaments with one Minor as a breather in between.
Bailey also shared that Valve wants the tournaments to be a pseudo tier system, with the biggest teams focusing on Majors, good teams choosing between Majors and Minors and lower tier teams aiming at qualifying for the Minors.
